Job Description

We are seeking a Design Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of embedded hardware systems. This role focuses on learning and contributing to schematic design, board bring up, testing, and debugging under guidance from senior engineers, while building strong fundamentals in circuit design and product development.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout reviews for embedded systems
• Support board bring up, functional validation, and basic hardware testing
• Troubleshoot circuit and system level issues with guidance from senior engineers
• Review schematics, layout files, and assembly documentation to understand design intent
• Use datasheets to understand component behavior and assist in defining test conditions
• Support environmental, ruggedness, and EMI/EMC testing activities
• Document test results, design observations, and debug findings clearly
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including design, firmware, and test

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands on lab experience with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, DMM)
• Ability to read schematics and basic PCB layouts
• Basic understanding of digital circuits (logic, timing, common interfaces)
• Exposure to power systems fundamentals (voltage regulation, sequencing, protection)
• Familiarity with common embedded interfaces (SPI, I²C, UART)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills — able to document results and ask questions when needed
• Organized and detail oriented approach to lab work and documentation
• Understand schematics and understanding impact of other components on a lay out
• Experience designing and testing new developing assemblies, design of a PCB
•Hand held electrical test equipment (e.g. Texas Instruments)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with PCB design tools (Cadence especially)
• Exposure to FPGA or microcontroller based systems
• Basic scripting (Python) for simple automation or data processing
• Introductory understanding of signal integrity or high speed concepts
•Jira is a plus
•Understanding of Mechanical Engineering
