Join a dynamic Power Delivery team at a PUD, where you will contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of electrical equipment within transmission and distribution facilities, with a focus on substations, transmission systems, SCADA automation, and supporting infrastructure. As an Substation Engineer you will support capital project execution related to low-impact substation design, materials, and equipment, and contribute to engineering and operational practices that enhance system reliability. You will develop foundational knowledge of equipment such as high/medium/low voltage distribution systems, control systems, transformers, SCADA systems, protective relay equipment, circuit breakers, and battery systems, while assisting in the research and implementation of new or upgraded substation equipment under the guidance of senior staff. Responsibilities include supporting small-scale project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and commissioning, and gaining familiarity with industry standards, utility codes, and legal requirements.
