Job Description
Dayforce System Management & Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert and primary system support for the Dayforce payroll module, including performing configuration, updates, testing, and maintenance of pay policies, rules, and security roles.
Payroll Processing & Compliance:
Oversee and execute the end-to-end processing of multi-state and/or multi-jurisdictional payroll (e.g., US and Canada), including off-cycle runs and year-end procedures (W-2s, T4s).
Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws (FLSA, CRA, etc.), wage and hour regulations, and internal company policies.
Manage and reconcile payroll tax filings, garnishments, benefit deductions, and retirement contributions.
Reconciliation, Reporting, & Audit Support:
Support internal and external payroll audits, ensuring proper documentation and controls are maintained (e.g., SOX requirements).
Collaborate with Finance and HR to reconcile payroll expenses to the General Ledger and provide insightful reports for budgeting and forecasting.
Process Improvement & Integration:
Identify, design, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives within Dayforce to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Serve as a key liaison for integrating Dayforce payroll with other HRIS and financial systems.
Issue Resolution:
Research and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
Manage escalated payroll and tax concerns promptly and accurately.
