Job Description

The Site Manager, Clinical Engineering leads day-to-day clinical engineering operations and delivers high-quality service through execution of the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP). This role partners closely with hospital leadership, develops and leads technical teams, ensures regulatory compliance, and serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal service teams. The position also leads Joint Commission readiness and inspections.
This role is based in Bellingham, WA. Relocation assistance is available.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management

Lead and oversee site operations, providing technical and operational direction.
Recruit, schedule, coach, and develop technicians and supervisors.
Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide timely feedback.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Drive employee engagement and support professional development plans.
Influence change through credibility, technical expertise, and sound judgment.

Operations Management

Manage daily service operations, including staffing, inventory, service contracts, and work orders.
Administer the MEMP and manage key performance indicators (PMs, WOTs, alerts, regulatory metrics).
Lead Joint Commission inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
Analyze operational data, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and report performance metrics to central or corporate leadership.
Establish and execute local strategies aligned with company policies and objectives.

Account Management & Customer Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital leadership, including C-suite stakeholders.
Deliver Quarterly Value Reviews (QVRs) and system-level reporting.
Build strong customer and vendor relationships to deliver effective, win-win solutions.
Identify growth opportunities, including scope-of-service expansion.
Support site readiness, budgeting, and long-term account strategy.

Financial & General Responsibilities

Manage one or more sites with $3M–$10M in annual revenue.
Maintain P&L responsibility and oversee budgets, costs, and revenue.
Support affiliated or nearby sites as needed.
Travel as required based on business or customer needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in clinical engineering or a comparable technical environment.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and develop talent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience as an Assistant CE Manager, Supervisor, Senior Technician, or similar leadership role preferred.

Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Technical certifications such as A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, or CCE preferred.
