Job Description

The Engineering Specialist will play a key role in supporting this organization’s Cable Remediation Program (CRP) and Feeder Replacement Program for residential and commercial projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position involves researching asset data across multiple platforms, including GIS mapping software, SAP, and Power BI reports, while managing large datasets in Excel. The specialist will receive cable lists from a supervisor, cross-reference details such as locational data and company infrastructure, and customer counts which are used to create corresponding job notifications in SAP. Responsibilities include calculating costs based on cable length, ensuring accuracy to avoid duplicate jobs, and maintaining data integrity across systems. Attention to detail and good organizational skills are critical to align job creation with financial guidelines. The role requires processing up to 60 cable-related tasks daily, validating information, and ensuring timely updates so cables are repaired or replaced efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of relevant experience
Proficient with Excel performing data entry
High attention to detail while analyzing data with the ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Quick learner and maintains a high level of initiative
Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work with a team or independently

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Mapping experience (EX: ESRI, Tensing)
SAP experience
Familiar with Power BI
