Job Description

The Operations Research and Systems Analyst leverages advanced analytical and statistical methods to address complex challenges and support informed decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders such as OUSDI and PREM, the analyst translates mission objectives and constraints into actionable analytical models. Responsibilities include identifying key issues, gathering relevant data, and applying various analytical techniques to develop effective solutions. This role requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of stakeholder priorities and operational goals.

Required Skills & Experience

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research, analysis, design, documentation, and integration to support OUSDI and PREM system capabilities and operational goals.
- Define research scope and objectives to enhance decision-making and policy development.
-Apply modeling and analytical methods to develop innovative, cost-effective strategies, technologies, and solutions.
- Collect and analyze data to support complex decision-making for information services and products.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend process improvements aligned with research goals.
Support presentations, training sessions, and briefings as needed.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to research activities and deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting national security and defense initiatives.
Proven experience in workflow and process optimization.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Strong background in data processing and analysis.
- Skilled in presenting findings to executive leadership.
- Experience leading technical discussions and knowledge exchanges.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree
Familiarity working within an agile environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
