Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer to support a federal client in Virginia Beach, VA. The Test Engineer will support the Navy's Integrated Training Systems by supporting the design, development, and deployment of the Advanced Training Domain (ATD), a shipboard combat system trainer. The Test Engineers responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases to evaluate software performance and functionality.
Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software defects.
Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process.
Conduct performance, regression, and integration testing to ensure software meets business requirements.
Document and report test results, providing actionable insights to improve software quality.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance testing methodologies.
Compensation:
$33.65/hr to $39.42/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
Security+ Certification
Proficiency in languages like Python, C#, or JavaScript for test automation and scripting is desired.
Strong grasp of testing methodologies (e.g., functional, performance, regression, integration, and security testing).
Ability to analyze software failures and resolve issues effectively.
Familiarity with tools like Git or Subversion for managing code and test scripts.
Experience with Jenkins or Azure DevOps to integrate testing into development pipelines.
Capability to identify edge cases, anticipate potential issues, and assess system behavior under various conditions. Clearly documenting test cases, results, and collaborating with developers to address issues.
Working effectively in cross-functional teams using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Identifying subtle defects that could impact software performance or user experience.
