Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support a mission-critical Navy training program. This role is focused on ensuring software applications, systems, and interfaces work seamlessly together across Linux and Windows environments. This is a highly hands-on role centered around integration, troubleshooting, and supporting deployments in a complex system environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Integrate and configure software applications across Linux and Windows environments
Troubleshoot issues across applications, operating systems, and network layers
Support system integration, testing, and deployment activities in lab and production environments
Work closely with software developers, systems engineers, and network teams to resolve integration issues
Use C++ and Java for debugging, log analysis, and troubleshooting (not heavy development)
Develop and maintain automation scripts to support integration and deployment processes
Ensure systems and applications are properly configured and interoperable across environments
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including daily standups and sprint work
Assist with environment setup, configuration management, and version control
Support system validations and upgrades, including occasional on-site or installation support
Compensation:
$39/hr to $43.26/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR
Master’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience, OR
High school diploma/equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge & Skills
Experience integrating, configuring, and troubleshooting software across both Windows and Linux operating systems
Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux command‑line environments and administrative tools
Working knowledge of C++ and Java for debugging, log analysis, and integration troubleshooting
Experience with Agile/Scrum development workflows
Experience with system interfaces, message handling, and software interoperability
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues across application layers, OS environments, and networks
Experience with automation tools or scripting to support integration and deployment
Required Credentials
Ability to otain a DoD Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+) within 3 months of hire if not currently held.
Must hold a current or active DoD Secret clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related technical field
IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+)
Experience integrating training systems, modeling and simulation systems, or Navy combat systems
Familiarity with Jira, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, virtualization, and containerization technologies (Docker/Podman)
Exposure to U.S. Navy training environments or other mission‑critical platforms
Possession of an active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+)
Experience with Jira and Subversion
