Overview:
Insight Global's client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join their dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Managers, the PM will play a crucial role in managing construction projects from inception to completion. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside talented professionals while ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Manage 2-3 active heavy civil construction projects from kickoff through closeout
Oversee municipal utility and roadway projects valued between $5M-$10M
Own project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and overall financial performance
Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time delivery
Coordinate daily with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, engineers, and subcontractors
Prepare and submit monthly pay applications
Manage change orders, RFIs, claims, and project documentation
Review and issue subcontracts and purchase orders
Lead project meetings and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders
Partner with operations leadership to ensure projects stay on schedule and under budget
Track project progress and financials utilizing HCSS, Bluebeam, and related construction software
Resolve project issues and drive decisions to keep projects moving forward

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction
Experience managing municipal utility and roadway projects
Strong understanding of public works contracts
Experience with unit-price work
Ability to independently manage projects with minimal oversight
Experience managing projects in the $5M-$10M range
Familiarity with project scheduling, change orders, pay applications, subcontract management, and owner communication
Experience using construction management software such as HCSS, Bluebeam, Procore, Viewpoint, CMiC, Primavera, etc. (transitioning into HCSS is acceptable)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
HCSS experience
SAGE Intacct experience
Experience with a mid-sized heavy civil contractor focused on municipal infrastructure work
Local public works relationships/knowledgering degree
