Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager with a background specifically in the Architecture/Engineering space. This is a tight-knit team and the projects for this group vary with DoD (Department of Defense) and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) projects. The team is a tight-knit group that operate as a cohesive unit where collaboration is needed. This PM role will involve collaborating with all engineering disciplines and pushing the projects forward to stay on pace, budget, and meet deliverables. Day to day responsibilities are working with clients (external to company), internal cross-disciplinary communications, administrative work, and financial planning. Design is not a part of the role; however, a strong technical background is needed to aid the technical teams with problems or potential problems that arise through the project process. Work is hybrid with in person work being Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in Virginia Beach, VA. Travel is 10-25% of the role and includes both local and out of country travel.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years in the architecture and/or engineering space

A strong technical background in design (architectural or engineering)

A desire to work federal projects

Possesses one or more of the following certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or Project Management Professional (PMP)

Strong soft skills and ability to develop partnerships with clients and internal personnel

Ability to obtain a secret clearance

College Degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience / Expertise in the Federal Realm (DoD, Homeland Security, Army Corps, Navy, NAVFAC)

Navy experience

More than one certification (PE, RA, PMP)

Experience with marketing and proposal management
