Provides quality service and customer satisfaction through accurate entry of data and communication to internal and external customers.
Responsible for working in multiple shared mailboxes answering emails from our internal and external customers so effective written communication is a must.
Maintain an application accuracy score of 99%.
Day-to-Day:
* The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data related to health insurance enrollments during the open enrollment period. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our enrollment team, you will contribute to maintaining data integrity and providing exceptional service to our policyholders.
Data Entry:
* Enter and update enrollment data, including personal information, coverage details, and policyholder preferences, into the company's database accurately and efficiently.
* Verify the accuracy and completeness of data entered, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
* Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Quality Assurance:
* Conduct regular data quality checks to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies.
* Collaborate with the enrollment team to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
* Report any issues or concerns regarding data quality to the appropriate stakeholders.
Document Management:
* Organize and maintain physical and electronic enrollment records.
* Ensure proper filing and documentation of all enrollment-related paperwork.
* Retrieve and provide requested information and documents as needed.
Timely Completion:
* Meet established deadlines for data entry and related tasks to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
* Prioritize workload effectively to handle high volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
* Communicate any challenges or delays to the supervisor in a timely manner.
* Communication and Collaboration:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including enrollment specialists and customer service representatives, to address inquiries and resolve issues related to data entry.
* Maintain open lines of communication with team members to ensure smooth workflows and provide updates on data entry progress.

* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in data entry or related fields are a plus.
* Proven experience in data entry or similar roles, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
* Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of data entry software and spreadsheet applications.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Knowledge of health insurance terminology and open enrollment processes is advantageous.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and data protection best practices.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive.
