Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a Commissioning specialist to join their team in the Virginia Beach Region. This person will be responsible for testing and commissioning all of their newly integrated rooms and making sure that all of the integrated systems are functioning without issue. This person will be responsible for connecting to all of the equipment, making sure programs are loaded, tested as working and fully documented. This person will also lead or assist with training / demonstrating to the end user (customer) on the newly integrated systems operation.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of experience within the AV industry
AV system installation
Proper knowledge of signal flow
Ability to read and update functional drawings
Provide and or update DSP site files,
Troubleshoot and diagnose audio/video and control issues with Crestron, AMX, Qsys, Biamp, Extron, Teams, Zoom, Polycom,
load and retest updates as needed
Work with Manufactures to diagnose and address device issues
· Networking experience as it relates to AV
o Terminate and test network cabling
o Technical proficiency to diagnose and fix AV network issues
o Set up IP address, Hostnames
o Communicate with IT staff to effectively get devices setup and powered on customer network as required
· Must have good customer facing experience
o Handle pressure, quick on feet, can easily pivot and multitask
o Customer service includes good written and oral communication skills
o Ontime site arrivals, as well as site departure notifications as required
· Must have good attention to detail
o Occasionally preform site surveys with customers, account executives and or project managers
o Review project designs for proper functionality
o Document device info
o Daily field reports
o Follow commissioning checklists
o Identifying problems with hardware and rack installations, audio and control programs and room environment
· Must have a valid Driver's License and Driving Record that matches customer driving standards
· Must be able to pass a drug test
Willingness to travel to jobsite within region
