Job Description

Insight Global is searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a large client based in Virginia Beach, VA. This position will own a specific section of the AP lifecycle, ensuring that all outgoing payments to vendors are matched to the correct vendor invoices in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have one year or more of experience working with Accounts Payable.

-Day to Day
-Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
-Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
-Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
-Generate purchase orders when necessary
-Obtain and print signatures on all checks
-Assist senior financial officers as needed
-Experience working with a large sized company
Target Rate 20/hr to 25/hr

Required Skills & Experience

-Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
-Ability to manage 300+ invoices a week
-3+ years of experience in accounts payable
-Experience or knowledge of EDI

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Associate's degree or equivalent

-Experience with Workday
