Job Description
The Quality Technician performs and documents general to specific inspection and test activities of product at various stages in the manufacturing process. Inspections and test activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures to support industry, company, and customer specific quality requirements.
Other responsibilities include:
Receiving
Receipt inspection of incoming material and vendor fabricated components to verify compliance with purchase order requirements.
Review Material Test Reports
Material identification and marking.
Documentation of receipt inspection.
In-process Assembly and Final Inspection
Material Verification.
Pre-Assembly - Weld joint preparation and fit-up inspection.
Assembly dimensional verifications.
Grid Assembly Inspection
Finish QC Tester verification
Verification of product to ASME Section VIII specifications
Final inspection of product prior to shipping
Shipping documentation auditing
Quality Assurance
Document and verify correction of nonconforming conditions.
Document inspection and testing activities in accordance with established procedures.
Welding Program
Welding qualification, ASME qualification preferred
THIRD SHIFT - 10pm-6:30am
Pay: $21/hr

Required Skills & Experience
A minimum of 2-3 years QC inspection experience in a manufacturing environment; or
a comparable level or education and experience in a related technical field (subject to QA management
review).
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in written form with all levels of personnel within the organization (employees, customer inspector, management, etc.)
Ability to perform simple algebraic, geometric and trigonometric calculations
Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform inspection, testing and documentation activities for multiple ongoing projects.
Computer knowledge skills appropriate for position include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Limited travel to customer or vendor locations, as well as other internal company sites may be required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Formal training, experience, or certification in welding or weld inspection preferred
Welding qualification, ASME qualification preferred
