Job Description

Day to day:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Permit Coordinator to manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of building permits, utility applications, and related documents. Youll work closely with internal teams and local municipalities to ensure timely approvals and support the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
Permit & Document Coordination:
- Prepare and submit permit applications, plot plans, and utility requests
- Track and pay fees for permits, water taps, and impact fees
- Maintain positive relationships with municipal staff
Record Keeping & Systems:
- Enter permit data into JD Edwards (JDE)
- Upload documents to internal systems and vendor portals
Community & Plan Management:
- Oversee the permit approval process for assigned communities
- Distribute approved plans to internal departments
- Manage and document plan revisions
Administrative Support:
- Scan and organize permit documents
- Notify accounting of fee changes
- Assist the Construction Department with administrative tasks

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related experience or training
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and email
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
