Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the Assistant Corporate Controller in overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations for the Bank. This role is a 50/50 blend of hands‑on accounting and people leadership, serving as the primary reviewer of complex reconciliations, a key contributor to month‑end close, and the main point of contact for general ledger maintenance.
The role has heavy exposure to banking operations, including oversight of the Federal Reserve account, cash accounts, investments, leases, loans, deposits, and regulatory reporting. Most of the accounting team will report into this position, making it a critical leadership role within the accounting function.
This is a direct‑hire, permanent opportunity with long‑term growth potential, competitive compensation, bonus eligibility, and flexibility (hybrid schedule, standard business hours). The salary for this role is 110k-120k with 5%-10% annual bonus.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA license strongly preferred
5–10 years of progressive accounting experience (strong preference for banking or financial services)
Direct accounting background (not finance‑only), with exposure across a wide range of accounting areas
Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar role
Proven experience managing and leading an accounting team
Strong general ledger expertise, including account setup, maintenance, and reconciliation
Experience with:
Cash and Federal Reserve account reconciliations
Investments and lease accounting
Loan and deposit subledger reconciliations
Month‑end close, journal entry review, and financial reporting
Regulatory and government reporting (preferred)
Ability to manage workload, prioritize projects, and direct team responsibilities effectively
Comfortable working 4 days onsite (within ~40 miles), with hybrid flexibility
