Job Description
We are supporting a high priority government program office seeking a senior ISR systems engineer with deep expertise in Air Moving Target Indicator (AMTI) to lead the technical development and fielding of next generation airborne radar capabilities. This role is ideal for a former military ISR leader who has transitioned into technical execution and wants to directly shape how AMTI systems are designed, integrated, and delivered to the warfighter.
In this position, you will serve as a key technical authority for AMTI, translating mission needs into system architectures, requirements, and engineering decisions. You will work across the full ISR kill chain, ensuring AMTI capabilities are effectively integrated from airborne collection through data transport and ground exploitation.
This is a hands on systems engineering role where you will drive AMTI system performance, integration, and operational effectiveness in a complex, multi domain ISR environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead systems engineering advisor for AMTI capabilities, providing technical direction on architecture, system performance, and integration
Translate AMTI concepts of operation into system requirements, interface definitions, and engineering specifications
Provide deep technical expertise in AMTI and MTI radar systems, including detection performance, clutter mitigation, tracking, and system tradeoffs
Lead systems engineering and integration efforts across airborne radar sensors, platforms, communications links, and ground processing systems
Ensure end to end alignment of AMTI data flow from collection through processing, exploitation, and dissemination
Identify and mitigate technical risks specific to AMTI systems, including radar performance limitations, latency, track quality, and interoperability challenges
Support and participate in design reviews, architecture reviews, and technical baseline decisions focused on AMTI system performance
Guide test planning and execution for DT and OT events to validate AMTI capability in operational environments
Provide technical input into acquisition strategies with a focus on AMTI system feasibility, scalability, and lifecycle performance
Coordinate with prime contractors, government labs, and ISR stakeholders to align AMTI engineering efforts
Mentor team members in AMTI systems engineering, integration challenges, and ISR architecture design
