Job Description

We are supporting a high‑priority government program office seeking a senior ISR leader (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) to advise on the development and fielding of next‑generation Air Moving Target Indicator (AMTI) capabilities. This role is ideal for a retired senior military officer with deep airborne ISR experience who wants to influence how future systems are designed, acquired, and operationally deployed. In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor to government leadership, translating real‑world mission needs into system requirements and acquisition decisions. You will work closely with program managers, engineers, contractors, and operational stakeholders to ensure airborne radar and ISR systems deliver meaningful, usable capability to the warfighter. This is a hands‑on advisory role, not a desk-only job, you’ll be shaping mission concepts, guiding technical tradeoffs, supporting testing and integration, and helping ensure programs stay realistic on cost, schedule, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Advise Program Manager and senior government leadership on AMTI mission requirements, system performance, and operational integration
• Translate concept of operations into technical requirements and system specifications
• Provide subject matter expertise on airborne radar systems, including MTI/AMTI performance, limitations, and tradeoffs
• Support systems engineering and integration activities, ensuring alignment across sensor, platform, communications, and ground exploitation segments
• Assess technical risk areas (e.g., radar performance, data latency, integration constraints) and recommend mitigation strategies
• Participate in design reviews, test planning, and operational assessments (DT/OT)
• Support development of acquisition strategies, ensuring technical realism in cost, schedule, and performance planning
• Interface with prime contractors, government labs, and operational stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and analysts within the program office
