Job Description

Our client is seeking a safety professional to assist the Division Safety Manager and other safety coordinators to ensure Southland Industries meets all safety requirements
· You will be in the field and on site at the data center in Sterling, VA to help manage and coordinate all division safety activities
· Tours and inspects small or large, complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
· Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports and training logs
· Documents information for the investigation of accidents and injuries and submits data to regulatory agencies as required and consults with manager on decisions that significantly impact the company

Required Skills & Experience

· 5-7 years experience in a Safety Construction Environment
o Previous project management experience
· Bachelor's Degree in Safety, health, or Environmental Applied Sciences OR Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Certification
· OSHA 10hr and OSHA 30hr
· CPR and First Aid Certifications
· Proficient in health and safety management systems; OSHA CFR 1926 standards or the state construction safety regulations
· Must successfully be able to pass BC Check + DT

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Mechanical Experience
· OSHA 500
CHST certification
