Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation Engineer to work fully on-site in support of one of our large federal clients on a growing DoD contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing asset/entity models using simulation programs such as ODESSA, AFSIM, ITASE, NGTS, OneSAF, or other DoD/IC simulation tools. This role involves collaborating directly with customers to design, develop, and validate simulation models to support a variety of defense and intelligence operations.

Serve as onsite technical customer liaison, coordinating efforts across the govt and partner teams
Provide daily modeling and simulation, and RF expertise to customer teams
Develop and implement asset/entity models using ODESSA, AFSIM, ITASE, NGTS, OneSAF, or other DoD/IC simulation programs.
Provide RF Expertise in:
o Digital signal processing, dynamic filtering, and cognitive spectral sensing
o RF front end analysis and developing internal receiver architectures
o Modeling and simulating antennas to ensure optimal design/performance.
o Analyzing link equations to evaluate/enhance RF system performance.
o Developing and testing RF circuits and components, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
o Conduct gain/loss analysis for RF systems and components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define simulation requirements and objectives.
Perform validation and verification of simulation models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Analyze simulation results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Support the integration of simulation models into larger system architectures.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to simulation models and software.
Help customers stay current with the latest advancements in modeling and simulation technologies and methodologies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Hourly compensation (based on experience): $43.27/hr - $75.92/hr

Salary upon conversion: $90k - $160k

Required Skills & Experience

Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Data Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in modeling and simulation engineering.
Experience using AFSIM.
Proven experience with one or more DoD/IC simulation programs: ODESSA, AFSIM, ITASE, NGTS, OneSAF, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of modeling and simulation principles and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master's degree in a related field.
Experience with additional simulation tools and software.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
Experience with software development and system integration.
Knowledge of DoD/IC operational concepts and requirements.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
