Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced IT professional for a Web Application Developer and serves as a Full Stack .NET Developer for the agency’s development team.
The client's mission is to provide a uniform system of accounting, financial reporting, and internal control adequate to protect and account for the Commonwealth’s financial resources, while supporting and enhancing the recognition of Virginia as the best managed state in the union.
Primary Responsibilities:
The person in this role ideates, codes, reviews, tests, and debugs web applications. He/she develops technical
requirements and specifications by working directly with the business. He/she analyzes requirements and translates
them into designs. He/she creates documentation when creating or modifying systems and provides operational support for all web applications. He/she ensures that the applications they develop meet all VITA Security and Accessibility requirements.
This individual will develop new applications, participate in migrating existing ColdFusion applications to a modern
platform, and may address break/fix issues in legacy applications. They will perform code reviews and have their code reviewed by peers.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned and may work after hours on occasion to support business unit
demands.
The target pay rate for this position is between $60-64/hr and is based on years of experience.

5+ years developing web applications, supporting web applications, and soliciting requirements for web applications.
Technical skills:
• Developed ASP.NET Core applications
• Developed SQL code
• Developed C# code
• Gathered requirements from business users
• Utilized a Version Control System
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Developed Blazor or Razor Pages.
• Supported automation and AI.
• Developed ColdFusion applications.
• Developed applications running on Windows Server -and- Microsoft SQL Server.
• Performed code reviews.
• Supported deployment automation.
• Developed SSIS/DTS packages.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with non-technical
stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work.
• Previous Virginia state government experience.
