Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Vehicle Test Engineer to support a petroleum additive manufacturing client in the Richmond, VA area. This individual would responsible for designing and/or upgrading test apparatus for fuel additive performance testing in automobiles. As a key member of the Mechanical lab, the expectation would be to take on a hands-on approach to testing and problem solving.

Other responsibilities include:
- Design and develop tests and/or machines that produce performance data to meet the objectives of internal/external customer programs.
- Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of market technology, customers needs, market trends, and industry direction.
- Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all safety regulations.
- Prepare written technical reports and make oral presentations internally and externally as necessary.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in a testing environment in the automotive industry or a related field
- Experience with the design, construction, and commissioning of test machinery
- Intimate knowledge of vehicles, engines, transmissions, and the associated electronics

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with Baja SAE or Formula SAE while in college
