Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst to join one of our top clients in the Richmond, VA area. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing technical support for the applications used by Information Technology and Corporate Services groups within the company. The selected candidate will also assist with support within the team's portfolio across a wide variety of applications and technologies. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in all phases of application systems analysis. The key responsibilities of this position include conducting system design and business information flow studies, recommending appropriate computer platforms, workstations, security devices, and communication protocols required to support specific related business processes and information flow, developing technical specifications, system use cases, and wireframes, conducting unit, system, and integration testing, supporting applications and infrastructure in both Windows and Linux environments, working in multi-platform server environments on multi-project assignments, maintaining and managing defects list, remediation, and testing. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience in system support or related field. They should have strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems with experience in system design and business information flow studies. They should also have experience with unit, system, and integration testing. Excellent communication skills are a must.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years experience in developing conceptual and detail design for application software, technical analysis/documentation, development of use cases/scenarios, application change management and application testing is required

* Experience working with the following technologies: Windows/IIS servers, Citrix, WebLogic, Oracle and SQL Server databases, MS Access, RedHat Linux, FTP/SFTP, XML, HTML, Web services, Distributed Computing, Active Directory

* Proficient in supporting batch data loads and application interfaces

* Proficient in installing and upgrading vendor products in Linux and Windows environments

* Prior success working with third party vendor support centers

* Experience supporting firewall protected applications

* Bachelor's degree or other education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Some experience with Kubernetes Clusters and Postgres databases
