Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Formulation Chemist to join one of our clients in the Richmond, VA area. They are a leading provider of innovative petroleum additives, supporting oil and gas companies as well as OEMs. Our client is committed to delivering high-performance solutions that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulation Development: Design and develop new formulations for petroleum additives, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot-scale trials to optimize formulations.

Product Testing and Analysis: Perform comprehensive testing and analysis of new and existing formulations to evaluate their performance under various conditions.
Utilize advanced analytical techniques to characterize chemical properties and ensure product quality.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and marketing, to ensure successful product development and commercialization. Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and external customers.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulations comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemistry and petroleum additives. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in formulation processes and products.

Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project progress and outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

PhD in Chemistry with experience in organic chemical synthesis highly preferred.
Experience conducting research and developing performance testing requirements.
