Our client is seeking an Engineer to assist with the below: Review new & redevelopment projects for compliance with civil, environmental, and erosion & sediment control plans and documents in accordance with local state and federal regulations.
Attending meetings with engineers, citizens, and developers to discuss proposed development projects.
Stay educated on the latest stormwater and environmental changes to local and state regulations.
Work in conjunction with other staff to approve permits and land use projects in a timely fashion to meet departmental metrics.
Learn and understand all of the utilities within the city and the scope of services offered to citizens and the key staff responsible for implementing those services.
Attend the occasional on site meeting to discuss civil and environmental issues with developers and land owners.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Three years of engineering experience
Hydraulic Modeling
AWWA Water/Sewer Construction practices
VADEQ E & S plan reviewer certification
VA DEQ Stormwater Plan Reviewer Certification
VPDES permitting
