Job Description

An engineering client of Insight Global is looking for an Owner's Engineer to join their collaborative team on a remote basis with the ability to travel once a week per month to Richmond, VA. The primary responsibility of the Owner's Engineer is act as the technical subject matter expert for the customer and serve as the liaison supporting Project Managers. This role involves drafting RFPs from a technical perspective, representing the owner during the bid process, reviewing project progress to ensure constructability, and providing technical support during construction. This individual will facilitate the successful construction of substations ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV. A successful candidate will possess extensive experience in power substation design and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with all stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 6-10+ years of substation design experience within the power utility industry

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- PE License
- Experience designing in MicroStation or Autodesk Inventor
