Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Splicer to support one of our large utility, engineering, and AEC clients. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of in field OSP fiber splicing experience and the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable including single mode, multimode, stranded and ribbon
• Analyzes and troubleshoots basic technical problems or issues
• Reviews, interprets and works with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents
• Performs daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment
• Performs optical continuity and conformance testing
Makes splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial and building work locations

Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of OSP (Outside Plant) in the field experience: Splicing, RTDRs, OTDRs, power meters, etc. (Not data center splicers)
- Troubleshooting skills is a crucial skill for this position
