Job Description

This opportunity is supporting our client's communication team.
•Actively manage the day-to-day activities of the education and outreach functions to ensure the successful execution of public awareness, outreach, and education initiatives.
•Assist with comprehensive and strategic communications, marketing, public relations, and outreach strategies within the Public Utilities to enhance public education and awareness.
•Stay abreast of federal and state regulations impacting the department to include Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System, Lead and Copper Rule, and Natural Gas Safety.
•Develop and implement public education and outreach programs for stormwater and wastewater management, lead service lines, and natural gas safety to foster public involvement across diverse audiences.
•Assist with content for department-controlled websites and Intranet, including written and digital content.

Required Skills & Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Public Administration or similar field.
•Four years of journey-level professional experience in area related to assignment, such as program/project management.
•Two years of managing staff to include managing workflow, leading teams to high levels of performance, evaluating performance and providing feedback.
