Drupal Lead

Insight Global is seeking a Drupal Tech Lead who combines deep technical expertise with strong project leadership capabilities. This role is ideal for a senior full-stack developer who can architect solutions, lead technical implementation, and drive agile processes without direct people management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with development, but with a strong emphasis on architectural planning, technical implementation strategies, and scrum leadership. You’ll work closely with the internal teams, who will be your direct customer, to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with business goals. We can pay $45 - $75 for this position depending on experience.

Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Lead the design and architecture of Drupal-based solutions.
- Create and maintain technical implementation plans.
- Provide hands-on development support across front-end, back-end, and full-stack components.
- Ensure best practices in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.
- Guide the team in understanding technical direction, next steps, and system integrations.

Agile & Scrum Leadership
- Own and facilitate all scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos).
- Track and manage updates from developers, ensuring accountability and progress.
- Foster a positive team culture and address personal attitudes that impact delivery.
- Act as the technical voice in scrum discussions, contributing to architecture and design decisions.

Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between the development team and the CMS Product Team.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and technical delivery.

- 7–10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Drupal.
- Proven experience as a technical lead or architect on complex projects.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
- Full-stack development expertise (front-end, back-end, and integration).
- Experience leading scrum ceremonies and contributing to agile processes.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to architecture and design conversations.
- Background in content management systems and enterprise-level CMS implementations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
