Job Description

We are seeking a skilled On-Premise Tableau Administrator for a short-term 3-month engagement to support, stabilize, and optimize our Tableau Server environment. This role will also be responsible for training and upskilling internal infrastructure team members to independently manage Tableau administration tasks after the contract ends.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Audit and assess the current on-premise Tableau Server environment and configurations.
2. Perform administration tasks including user management, data source configuration, permissions, performance monitoring, and backups.
3. Implement best practices for Tableau Server architecture, security, and scalability.
4. Optimize server performance, conduct health checks, and apply necessary patches or upgrades.
5. Develop and deliver hands-on training sessions and documentation for internal IT/infrastructure team members.
6. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ongoing Tableau Server maintenance.
7. Collaborate with BI developers to troubleshoot dashboard and data source issues.
8. Ensure compliance with internal security and governance policies.
9. Provide recommendations for future improvements, including automation and monitoring.
