Requires 5+ years experience in a technical support environment.
Attainment of one or more IT related security or linux certifications.
Strong working knowledge of Linux and PC/server hardware architecture.

The Systems Engineer Candidate provides technical advice to Oracle personnel.
This position also requires superior customer service skills, which include communication, collaboration, follow-through and proactive problem solving, resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction.
The Systems Engineer duties and tasks are standard with some variation.
The ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
He/She should display understanding of roles, processes, and procedures. Normally this position will receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
This position performs moderately complex troubleshooting and problem solving with some assistance and guidance.
The Systems Engineer should complete their own tasks independently within defined policies and procedures.
