Job Description

$30/hr to $40/hr.

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanic to join our team.

The ideal Senior Fleet Mechanic will maintain and repair company equipment from vehicles, cranes, boats, and trailers to small engine repair. Repairs are performed on-site as well as in the shop.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

· Small engine, vehicle, diesel engine, and boat repair, and general repair on company equipment.

· Maintain Shop and all tools and equipment utilized in repair.

· Inspect equipment regularly.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Small engine, gasoline engine, diesel engine, and boat repair knowledge

· Ability to work with hand tools and power tools

Required Skills & Experience

Education and Experience:

· 3-5 years’ experience required as a mechanic preferably in the construction industry

· Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines as well as small engine repair

· Valid Driver’s License

· 5-7 years’ experience as a mechanic

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

· Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.

· Exposure to construction and marine site dangers.

· Ability to work in small and/or enclosed spaces.

· Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

· Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

· Operating machinery and/or power tools

· Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

· Work in extreme weather conditions.

· Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.

· Ability to respond quickly to sounds and noisy environments.

· Able to traverse all areas of the jobsite in all types of weather; this may require walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
