Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified RF Engineer, Lead in support of one of our large federal clients in Norfolk, VA. This candidate will be supporting and responsible for the design, analysis, testing, and integration of RF systems to ensure performance, reliability, and alignment with mission and customer requirements.
Their day-to-day will include, but is not limited to:

- Designing and developing RF systems, electronic circuits, and integrated system components

- Performing RF spectrum analysis, system testing, and performance validation

- Troubleshooting RF system issues and implementing design improvements

- Supporting system integration, verification, and validation activities

- Utilizing tools such as MATLAB and computer-aided design software for RF analysis and modeling

- Evaluating system performance and recommending modifications to improve functionality

- Assisting in the development and execution of test procedures and equipment

- Supporting field operations, maintenance, and electronic installations as needed

- Providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and leading smaller project tasks

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system requirements are met

Compensation: $100k - $125k
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

- 6+ years of full-time professional experience in systems engineering

At least 2 years of system-level experience in one or more of the following:
- Requirements definition
- System design parameters
- Concepts of operation
- Risk assessment
- Productivity studies and analyses
- Performance analyses
- Test and evaluation
- Post-delivery support

- Experience performing RF analysis using MATLAB (including RF, communications, and signal processing toolkits or similar tools)
- Experience working in Linux-based environments
