Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Lead Systems Administrator in support of one of are large federal clients in Norfolk, VA. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for maintaining operational readiness of Navy vessels by ensuring the IT infrastructure behind maintenance and modernization is secure, efficient, and scalable while supporting the Navys digital transformation goals, helping modernize legacy systems and integrate new technologies. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:
Leading navy system administration efforts, which supports over 45,000 users across global Navy facilities including shipyards and intermediate maintenance facilities.
Managing and optimizing complex IT systems, balancing performance, customer-driven enhancements, and technology obsolescence.
Overseeing legacy and modern web-based applications, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
Mentoring and lead a team of system administrators, improving efficiency through automation and training.
Implementing SAFe Agile methodologies to enhance system administration processes.
Ensuring robust cybersecurity across all systems.
Collaborating across IT teams to support the full lifecycle of the naval systemsfrom sustainment to new solution implementation

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
12+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
Experience working with AWS and its core services related to permissions and networking
CompTIA Security+ certification
Active DoD Security Clearance
Experience working with Navy maintenance systems or other large DoD programs.
Skilled in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation.
Certified in AWS, Windows, or Red Hat (RHEL).
Holds a SAFe certification (Agilist, Architect, or similar).
Able to manage systems across different platforms and operating systems.
Familiar with DoD and Navy standards for system security and administration.
Knowledgeable in virtualization, cloud technologies, and automation tools.
