Insight Global is looking for an IT Project Manager for one of our clients in Norfolk, VA. The PM will support IT project planning, coordination, and execution arcorss multiple programs. This position provides early career project management support for IT system development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment efforts across multiple geographically dispersed DoD sites.The IT PM assists senior project managers and technical leads with schedule development, documentation, risk tracking, task coordination, and performance reporting. This role supports both modernization activities and training range IT requirements, helping ensure alignment with mission objectives and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment supporting cross functional teams spanning engineering, cybersecurity, installation, and operations.
What You Will Do
• Assist internal teams and Government stakeholders in developing project scope, objectives, constraints, and success criteria
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools
• Track tasks, dependencies, and resource inputs to support execution across program activities
• Prepare documentation such as status reports, action item logs, risk updates, and meeting minutes
• Assist with performance tracking in accordance with PWS, PMP, and MSR requirements
• Support preparation of cost, schedule, and performance summaries for leadership
• Help monitor execution progress to ensure alignment with established scope, schedule, and baseline plans
• Assist with risk and issue tracking, documenting mitigation steps and updates
• Support contract deliverables including PMRs, MRs, CDRLs, and technical reports
• Coordinate with engineering and technical teams on integration tasks, installation activities, and system updates
• Support communication and coordination across internal teams, subcontractors, and Government stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with organizational project management processes, documentation standards, and program workflows
• Assist with conference planning, data collection, briefing preparation, and reporting inputs
• Perform additional project management duties as assigned
Compensation: $32-36/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; OR High School Diploma/equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience
• Foundational understanding of IT systems, system engineering, or software development concepts
• Ability to apply standard project management principles under supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Familiarity with project scheduling concepts; exposure to Microsoft Project preferred
• Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting DoD IT or telecommunications projects
• Familiarity with CDRLs, PMRs, or other Government contract deliverables
• Exposure to risk management, requirements tracking, or configuration management processes
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar PM tools
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other collaboration/documentation systems
• Project management coursework or training (such as CAPM, PMP prep, Agile fundamentals)
