Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Enterprise Architect in support of one of are large federal clients in Norfolk, VA. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-wide IT architecture that supports naval ship and submarine maintenance operations. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:

Lead architecture efforts for Navy ship and submarine maintenance systems used by over 45,000 users worldwide.
Design and implement cloud-based enterprise IT architectures, integrating legacy systems with modern web applications.
Guide technical teams through the full architecture lifecyclefrom planning and design to deployment and sustainment.
Apply SAFe Agile practices to improve team workflows and architectural processes.
Ensure system security and compliance with DoD standards and cybersecurity requirements.
Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices.
Stay current on emerging technologies, especially in cloud computing and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Collaborate with stakeholders to balance customer needs with long-term technology strategy.
Oversee integration of systems across multiple platforms and operating systems.
Support accreditation and testing of enterprise systems in a distributed, net-centric environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with 19 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect (Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 24 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect in leu of masters)
Active DoD Security clearance
Demonstrates expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions within secure Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
Proven ability to architect and integrate core cloud infrastructure services, including virtual servers, VPCs, identity and access management, and network configurations.
Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, with extensive experience managing complex, large-scale global IT ecosystems.
Strong leadership background in guiding cross-functional technical teams through the full enterprise architecture lifecyclefrom strategy and design to implementation and sustainment.
CompTIA Security+ certification

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certified in AWS, Windows, or Red Hat (RHEL).
Experience working with Navy maintenance systems or other large DoD programs.
Holds a SAFe certification (Agilist, Architect, or similar).
Skilled in building systems that run across different platforms and operating systems.
Understands DoD and Navy standards for system design and integration.
Familiar with DoDAF, the Department of Defenses architecture framework.
