Job Description

A federal client of Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer 2 to create and enhance data pipelines, architectures, and datasets, supporting Chief Data Officer initiatives. The role involves applying data modeling, mining, normalization, privacy, and security, designing unit and integration tests, and participating in Agile meetings. The engineer will share insights across teams, identify risks, write complex code for data processing, craft advanced queries, and establish data storage systems. Additionally, they will implement data streaming solutions and ensure compliance with data governance strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

- Active Secret clearance or higher required.
- Maven/Palantir (Foundry or MSS), Advana, SQL, Python, Spark, Qlik, Databricks experience.
- Experience designing data architectures supporting security, compliance, and discoverability.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise metadata cataloging tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with AI tools such as AWS SageMaker, Palantir AIP, DataRobot or similar.
