Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Junior Supply Chain Buyer to support a leading manufacturer of military hardware. This role is critical to ensuring timely procurement and delivery of raw materials and subcontracted services, aligned with production schedules and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include overseeing material flow from suppliers to the production floor, maintaining accurate delivery schedules in SAP, and identifying potential supply risks. This individual will also monitor supplier performance, expedite orders, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve shortages and quality issues. Below is an outline of their daily duties:

• Monitors short- and long-term material requirements and uses SAP to manage and action daily ERP messages.
• Sends open order report to suppliers weekly to ensure schedules are accurate.
• Monitors supplier shortages and communicates issues to appropriate teams as necessary.

$45,000 to $70,000 per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management.
• Strong proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
• Experience in monitoring supplier shortages, performing data analysis, tracking quality metrics, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Ability to use Excel and SAP for data entry and reporting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Advanced experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products), particularly in procurement tools.
• Prior experience supporting a federal client or an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain.
• Active security clearance, Public Trust, or prior completion of an extensive background check.
