Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Vice President of Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging in the Reston, VA area for a direct hire opportunity. This position will sit fully remote with occasional travel. This resource will be reporting to the SVP and serve as the strategic advisor for both SVP and COO to be the bridge-builder, culture promoter, and trusted facilitator guiding the organization through complex conversations, perspectives and lead moments of change with empathy and credibility! This will be an integral part of the people team to ensure the clients commitments to equity, justice, inclusion and belonging are aligned. The goal is to maintain commitments and values into operational reality—fostering the needed culture to build the systems, leadership capabilities, and organizational practices that allow a thriving workforce and community of partners to have a sense of belonging. This role helps ensure that fairness, access, and equal opportunity are embedded across how we recruit, develop, lead, and partner in pursuit of our mission, while maintaining legal compliance and transparency.


Key Responsibilities
The VP of EIB will develop and widely communicate a strategy to move client from aspirational commitments around equity, inclusion and belonging to build the practical systems, skills and trust required for sustained change, with measurable deliverables while also ensuring alignment with applicable compliance obligations and best practices. In doing so, the VP of EIB will:
• Determine what to start/stop/continue with existing efforts and enhance elements regarding culture, inclusion and belonging.
• Serve as a key leader helping company realize its Strategic Plan.
• Partner with senior leadership to drive inclusive leadership, fairness of process, and belonging into strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
• Advise the C-Suite and DEIJ board committee on emerging landscape shifts affecting equity, justice, inclusion and belonging, ensuring the organization’s approach remains both impactful and compliant.
• Shape a forward-looking approach that evolves from stand-alone programs into sustainable organizational systems that drive trust, accountability, community, and well-being.
Organizational Systems & Workforce Development
• Hiring, job architecture, promotion, and pay practices that are transparent, structured, and fair.
• Structured and equitable talent review, performance, and advancement processes.
• Learning, leadership development, and succession practices that expand opportunity and reduce potential bias.
• Policies and practices that ensure equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination while advancing access and belonging.
This role ensures that barriers are removed, standards are clear, and opportunity is real across the organization.
Culture, Learning & Capability Building
The VP of EIB will work across teams to build trust and a culture of candor through transparent communication and consistent action, including:
• Partner with the Learning and Development Director to design and lead professional development initiatives that strengthens inclusive leadership, cross-cultural competence, and safety and belonging across the Federation while translating values into practice and behavior.
• Build staff capacity to navigate multiple perspectives, hold complexity, and facilitate difficult conversations in ways that preserve dignity, trust, and mission alignment.
• Serve as a coach and thought partner to leaders and teams navigating sensitive, high-stakes, or polarized moments.
• Promote intellectual pluralism, respectful dialogue, and shared accountability as core cultural expectations.
Programs, Partnerships & Community
The VP of EIB will serve as a visible, trusted, and accessible resource for staff, leaders, and affinity groups:
• Support and advise employee resource and affinity groups in ways that strengthen inclusion, belonging, connection, and leadership development while maintaining openness and compliance consistent with policy.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that conservation and education programs reflect inclusive design and community engagement best practices.
• Proactively identify and resolve complex or sensitive issues using a solution-oriented, trauma-informed, and mission-aligned approach.
Measurement, Data & Accountability
The VP of EIB will build a thoughtful accountability infrastructure that includes baseline data, ownership and reporting mechanisms to sustain momentum:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret workforce, engagement, and talent data to assess culture, inclusion, and belonging outcomes.
• Monitor hiring, advancement, retention, and engagement trends to identify potential barriers, gaps, and opportunities.
• Produce executive-level reports, dashboards, and recommendations that support continuous improvement and leadership decision-making.
• Establish clear goals, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend refinements based on supportable evidence and established best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience leading organizational equity, culture, inclusion and belonging in enterprise companies
• Proven success of evolving culture and inclusion landscape with strategic fluency in EIB landscape
• Recent and relevant experience with EIB frameworks with proven record of implementing (not just theory)
• Data driven and able to analyze data to form strategy, assess impact and course correct
• Supported a company size of 300+
• High integrity, confidentiality and sound judgement
• Understanding of equal opportunity laws and concepts
• Bachelor’s degree
