Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a highly skilled software engineer to join one of our large federal contracting clients to support complex tasks for design and implementation of a new software system. The ideal candidate will work as an Agile team member developing new features, coordinate with others on the team on architecture, information security, DevSecOps, requirements, testing, and configuration management. This individual is expected to demo work for the client's customer, delivering on customer commitments.
This position will be fully remote with day-to-day core responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and maintain multiple React applications in a microservice architecture
• Design, maintain, and consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Write unit and/or integration tests to ensure high-quality and resilient user experience
• Work closely with designers, testers, other developers, and requirement manager to ensure alignment on expected functionality
• Participate in code reviews, and provide constructive feedback
• Daily Scrums in Agile framework; receiving/solutioning tickets through Jira
Hourly compensation: $45/hr - $75/hr
Salary upon conversion: $95k - $150k

Required Skills & Experience
• Proficiency in ES6+ JavaScript/TypeScript and C#
• Deep understanding of React concepts such as components, state, props, hooks, and context
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Zustand or Redux
• Ability to integrate and leverage testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library
• Basic understanding of Docker and container orchestration like Kubernetes
• Comfortable demonstrating technical progress to stakeholders
• Willingness to contribute to mitigating security concerns by addressing software and image vulnerabilities
• Active Secret clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks (.NET, Java, Python)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, especially S3; possesses active AWS certifications
• Familiarity with asynchronous microservice patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Versed in DevOps tools (GitLab, SonarQube, Helm, Harbor, ArgoCD)
• Elastic Search/Open Search PostgreSQL experience
• Ability to create rapid prototypes, sketches, and/or wireframes
• Experience integrating a design system
• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Local to NCR
