Job Description

Day to day:

The Field Survey Technician I supports survey crews in completing a variety of field surveys and ensuring high‑quality project deliverables. Most of the role centers on hands‑on field operations, including:
• Assisting with boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction stakeout, GPS, photogrammetric, hydraulic, and as‑built surveys
• Operating survey instruments such as robotic total stations, levels, GPS units, data collectors, and related equipment
• Managing field data uploads/downloads and maintaining equipment, vehicles, and PPE
• Communicating with crew members, following safety protocols, and participating in on‑site safety meetings
A smaller portion of the role focuses on professional development through training and pursuing certifications (e.g., CST I, OSHA, First Aid).
General expectations include reliability, punctuality, clear communication, adherence to company policies, and the physical ability to work outdoors in all conditions and handle equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:
- Experience working independently and with a team
- 3-5 years' experience of topographic surveys
- Experience with total station robotic instruments (preferably leica)
- Clean driving record and drug test and steady work history
