Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of People for a direct hire opportunity in the Northern Virginia area. This is a hybrid role that requires occasional onsite meetings each month and some travel during the year. Your role is instrumental in leading and advancing key People related programs and activities and your work helps to establish the client as a destination employer. You will contribute at both hands on and strategic levels and partner with cross functional leadership and teams to design and deliver strategies and tactics for how we hire, onboard, develop, motivate and retain our world class team. You will be owning the day to day operations of employee experience related to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, retention. You'll design and implement employee experience and culture programs. Build and optimize performance evaluation and feedback loops and parter with company managers to provide support. You will be responsible for managing a small staff of 2-3 people. You will be working with a functional HR and people team and will need to bring data and metric mindset to impact people positively.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years human resources and people operations experience Strong HR generalist background (recruiting, employee relations, comp/benefits, L&D, engagement)
Experience leading and managing a small HR team
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field
Zoom experience
Familiar with different HRIS and LMS tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience
Strong background in DEI, equity programs, or cultural transformation
Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional org structures
Exposure to change management at scale
