The Senior Capture Manager drives business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities through strategic partnerships and leveraging past performance. As a visionary leader, they balance big-picture strategy with detailed execution while fostering a collaborative and responsive team environment.
This role involves managing the full capture life-cycle, overseeing multiple pursuits and proposals simultaneously. The ideal candidate has proven success in capture management and excels at developing winning strategies, adapting to evolving procurement processes, and guiding teams to successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Leadership: Lead pipeline meetings, present strategies, and ensure opportunities progress through the sales cycle.
Capture Strategy Execution: Develop innovative approaches to maximize efficiency and secure high-probability wins.
Opportunity Ownership:
Conduct competitive analysis and build effective teams.
Oversee NDA and Teaming Agreement processes in collaboration with contracts specialists.
Support proposal teams in crafting winning bids, shaping competitive pricing, and demonstrating a clear understanding of customer needs.
RFI & RFP Leadership: Take charge of responses to RFIs, Sources Sought, GSA Market Surveys, and RFPs.
Market Research & Pipeline Development: Identify and prioritize new opportunities for long-term growth.
Relationship Management: Engage with industry partners and government personnel to enhance capture success.
Strategic Planning: Develop marketing campaigns, staffing and recruitment strategies, and guide technology investments.

- Bachelors or masters degree in business, management, engineering, marketing, or a related field, particularly in emerging technologies or Federal/DoD contracting.
- 4-10 years of experience in federal business development, including capture management, teaming, and account growth
- Experience in full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification and RFP analysis to bid strategy, negotiations, pricing, and proposal development.
- Knowledge of Federal government contracting landscape
- Reside in the DC Metro Area
