Job Description

Responsible for advancing the organization’s Zero Trust strategy by collaborating with Federal counterparts to implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based SASE solutions, primarily the Zscaler platform. This role safeguards sensitive client data, strengthens identity and authentication, enhances network security, and develops SOPs for secure operations. Provides expert technical guidance, advanced troubleshooting, and targeted training while partnering with cross-functional teams to assess risks.

Key Responsibilities
-Act as technical lead for DOL’s Zero Trust program, ensuring top-tier security and operational excellence.
-Implement, manage, and optimize cloud-based SASE solutions (e.g., Zscaler) aligned with Zero Trust objectives.
-Provide expert guidance on identity, authentication, network, and cloud security.
-Develop and maintain SOPs for Zero Trust controls and continuous improvement.
-Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver advanced support.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions, share knowledge, and improve user experience.
-Identify automation opportunities and recommend strategic improvements using APIs and templates.
-Conduct risk assessments, implement controls, and ensure secure integration across identity, endpoint, network, and data layers.
-Support audits, incident response, and SIEM integration for monitoring and compliance.
-Track and report KPIs on adoption, performance, and risk reduction to leadership.
-Ensure compliance with federal security standards (FISMA, FedRAMP, ATO).

Required Skills & Experience

-12 years of work experience
-Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field (required).
-Strong ability to develop, document, and refine SOPs for technical teams, including Service Desk operations.
-Ability to deliver targeted technical training, user outreach, and security awareness programs.
-Experience operating Zero Trust and SASE solutions within complex enterprise environments
