Job Description

A client in the Herndon, VA area is looking for Top Secret Cleared Satellite Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Senior level experience developing guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) algorithms for satellite missions.
They will be responsible for Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) system design, implementation, simulation and testing, and establishing, maintaining and executing satellite attitude control simulation software.
They will analyze the stability and robustness of guidance and control algorithms using control theory and Monte Carlo simulations.
They must undertakes requirements capture, performance trades and design activities.
This role is fully onsite working on a 9/80 schedule.

Required Skills & Experience

-Ability to obtain a TS clearance
-Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field
-8 plus years of experience in satellite attitude and orbit control systems.
-8 plus years of experience with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology, and implementations in satellite systems and their applications.
-Experience with physics-based modeling of dynamic systems and Monte Carlo simulation analysis.
-Experience developing software in C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink.
