Job Description

* Research, interview, and follow-up with ITS staff regarding documentation requirements to define scope for each writing, maintenance, and formatting assignment.

* Perform research and write, review, edit, and format documentation according to prescribed ePlus standards and guidelines.

* Support development of clear and organized content using ePlus and/or specific industry standards/guides, such as Modern Language Association (MLA) Manual and U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Style Manual.

* Establish and/or refine documentation standards and style guidelines, templates, and compliance with pre-existing products, as required.

* Write, proofread, and edit all types of documentation.

* Coordinate document control and repository processes.

* Adapt text to different audiences, applying the appropriate tone and voice.

* Manage the technical writing assignment log and use it to report weekly status.

* Identify and communicate dependencies between documentation assignments as part of weekly status meetings.

* Meet with ITS staff to identify documentation assignment milestones and manage the production of documentation according to the milestones.

* Ensure that quality reviews and documentation approvals take place.

* Schedule and attend all meetings related to documentation creation/maintenance and oversee facilitation, recording of minutes, action items and decisions, and follow-up on action items.

* Collect, maintain, and share lessons learned related documentation assignments.

Required Skills & Experience

* Assertive personality is able to be a "true thinker" who can take initiative on new tasks and skills.

* Ability to consult across multiple teams in the company to suggest solutions through documents and materials.

* Ability to present to executives.

* Someone who can do video and voiceover for training documents.

* 4 years of experience in training / technical communication/tech writing creating the following;

o System user guides

o Application screen designs

o Surveys, presentations, FAQ's, forms

o Instructions (Ex. In 10 steps or less...)

o Reference guides

o ServiceNow Knowledgebase Documents

o SharePoint Sires

o SOP's, Software Release notes

o Training materials / documentation / training videos and voiceovers
