Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions
* Review business processes and develop optimization strategies
* Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
* Facilitate or conduct meetings, draft minutes, and follow up on action items
* Perform requirements analysis
* Facilitate working session to interview technical team to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI)
* Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
* Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce reports.
* Perform user acceptance testing.
* Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance
* Update, implement, and maintain procedures
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analysis of current processes using operational metrics and reports
* Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
* Act as a liaison between the business and the technical team
Required Skills & Experience
Requirements:
* 3 - 6 years of IT Business Analyst experience including in-depth knowledge performing the following functions:
o Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements
o Business case development
o Document functional/technical designs of the system
o Gather functional/non-functional requirements
o Perform user acceptance testing
* Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
* Proficient in personal computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, MS Project, MS Visio), JIRA, ServiceNow
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Pluses:
* Experience supporting Government projects
* Experience supporting SharePoint and/or Linux projects
* Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
* Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
* ITIL v.3 Foundation
