Job Description

Insight Global's client, a growing non-profit environmental organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage a team of project managers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects, as well as a keen eye for process improvements.



In this permanent, full-time role, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the work of other project managers, while also periodically contributing to regular project management duties. The position offers a competitive salary, a performance-based incentive of 10-20% of the base salary, and an extensive benefits package that includes health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement contributions.



The preference is for the Senior Project Manager to be based in or around the Richmond, VA area.



The client organization is focused on advancing sustainable, affordable, and energy-efficient construction practices. Their work includes green building and building science program construction projects, primarily for multifamily properties, as well as single-family and small commercial projects.



Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee and mentor members of the project management team

* Identify areas for process efficiency gains and lead improvement efforts

* Monitor team KPIs and assist with identifying additional KPIs

* Support project scoping and contracting process

* As needed, support the Project Management team with:

o Performing takeoffs from architectural plans

o Review construction documents and perform energy model projections

o Coordinate and support Design Review facilitation

o Track and maintain project documents

o Manage administration and delivery of certification programs including Utility Allowances and Final Certification

* Perform Quality Assurance/ Quality Control.

* Perform additional responsibilities related to the success of the organization

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum 3-5 years in a project management role

* At least 2-3 years working with green building and energy efficiency programs such as ENERGY STAR, Enterprise Green Communities, NGBS, EarthCraft, or LEED for Multifamily.

* Experience identifying areas for process improvements and implementing them

* Proficiency in reading architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans.

* Knowledge of residential energy-efficient construction and green building practices.

* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

* Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce); able to learn new software programs.

* Ability to manage and prioritize deadlines.

* Excellent task management and organizational skills.

* Valid driver's license; DMV record in good standing.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* RESNET Rater Field Inspector, HERS Modeler, or HERS Rater certification strongly preferred.

* Experience in architectural and energy modeling & analysis software (e.g., Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, Ekotrope, eQuest) preferred.
