Assist manufacturing leadership with managing daily operations in the weld shop, ensuring that all quality and NADCAP requirements are met. Maintain status as an active welder potentially spending 50% of work hours on production welding.
Essential Functions
Proficiency in GTAW with the ability to train in two alloys (S/A & Titanium).
Maintain personal welder certification.
Production welding of all current alloy groups.
Monitor workmanship and continuous training of current welders.
Assist in certifying new welders.
Plan and execute repairs on potentially scrap castings.
Monitor weld yields.
Assist in developing new welding techniques and equipment improvements for production applications.
Assist in maintaining weld wire and weld hardware control and inventory.
Assist in maintaining and writing work instructions.
Assist in testing and implementation of new technologies/critical input controls.

A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
Must be proficient in manual GTAW and able to pass a welder certification test.
Formalized education in the welding field and a minimum of 5 years GTAW experience.
Must be a certified welder to AMS-2694.
Experience in investment castings (engineering and/or manufacturing) strongly preferred.
