Job Description
This role designs, secures, and maintains AWS cloud infrastructure in a cleared DoD/IC environment, leveraging Terraform automation, IAM and networking best practices, and AWS security tooling to support RMF compliance, continuous monitoring, and mission‑critical operations.
PAY RATE $50-70/h

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years managing and provisioning AWS infrastructure
Strong Terraform (IaC) experience (modules, state, multi‑env deployments)
Hands‑on with AWS IAM (policies, roles, SCPs, permission boundaries)
Solid AWS networking experience (VPCs, subnets, security groups, TGWs, endpoints)
Experience with AWS security & compliance tools (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config), preferably in GovCloud / C2S
Experience supporting RMF / STIG / ATO activities and documentation
Familiar with CloudWatch and CloudTrail for logging, monitoring, and audit
Ability to work on‑site per program requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance
High school diploma or GED
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice If You Have:
• Experience in AWS GovCloud including partition-specific service limitations and workarounds
• Experience with IL4/IL5/IL6 cloud environments and Dod Cloud Computing SRG impact level requirements
• Experience with Terraform CI/CD integration, including plan or apply pipelines via GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Atlantis with policy-as-code, such as OPA or Sentinel
• Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, or account vending patterns for multi-account governance
• Experience with ACAS or Nessus scan remediation or DoD STIG automation, such as Ansible hardening playbooks, OpenSCAP, or SCAP Compliance Checker
• Experience building and maintaining AMI or container image pipelines with baked-in compliance baselines
• Experience in cross-domain solution architecture or data transfer workflows between classification levels
• Experience with AWS cost management, such as tagging strategies, budgets, Reserved Instance or Savings Plan optimization, and showback reporting
• Experience with eMASS or Xacta for managing ATO packages, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring submissions
• AWS certification, including Solutions Architect Associate or Security Specialty preferred
